If you are prepared to make the journey, there is just one week remaining to see this awesome exhibition:Transmitting Andy Warhol at the Tate Liverpool. The show delves deeper into Warhol’s production methods for his iconic screen prints of celebrity and death. Products of his eponymous ‘Factory’, Warhol employed friends, drug addicts and waifs off the street to execute his media-governed and plagiarised images. The highlight is the Marilyn Diptych – as the ink fades, so does her visage from the silver screen. A clever pun on media manipulation, her face is manipulated by the assembly-line production of the Warholian Factory of fashion and fading fame.
